Concrete floors are a great shed base option. Allow the concrete to dry for forty-eight hours before using the shed! The finished slab size is the same size as the shed, but upon request additional concreting around the shed can be done.
SteelChief recommends a rebated concrete slab, as it ensures that water cannot be driven under the walls of the shed, in conditions of driving wind and rain.
The rebated slab is poured after the shed has been erected and mounted on stirrups; it is approximately 100mm deep, and is reinforced with mesh. The concrete is finished to the top of the galvanised BaseSmart member, forming a 20mm rebate.
