  Gable Roof

  A very versatile shed ranging from small to large. Higher wall heights can be ordered. The many door options and positions means you get the access you want. Windows and skys will add light. Lockable Tee handles, bike hooks, shelves are more of the many options available.

  Skillion Roof

  The skillion roofline can tuck nicely at the side of your house or fence. Angle the roof so the water runs off into your garden or away from your house walls. The skillion roof shed is a no fuss versatile selection. Optional shelving adds function to the interior or a wide door accommodates even the big wheelbarrows. Extra wall height and all the usual options are available.

  Heritage Roof

  The Heritage style has the old world "angles". All the same options are available including finials made from strong plastic with the colour bonded. This size range is limited to a maximum gable size of 2.26m.

  Flat Roof

  Choose a flat roof when space is limited. This range is suitable for lockers, by the pool and garden tool sheds. The Flat roof will squeeze into a small garden, share the garage or veranda. Add a few options such as a shelf set and this shed will be a friend for life, the only limit is your imagination.

Extra wall height is available to make your shed more roomy which allows space for gutters or head height. Check that there are no overhead obstructions such as branches, building gutters etc.

  Mezzanine Shelf

  To suit storage in skillion or gable end of standard, heritage and steel frame style construction, and wooden sheds.

  400mm deep shelf made from galvanized steel. Not suitable for heavy items as it hanging from the walls. Shelf length matches the gable or skillion dimension.

  You can select multiple shelves: 1 Arm, 2 Arm, 3 Arm, or 4 Arm.

  Mezzanine shelves are sized to match the length of your gable or skillion end.

  Shelves may obstruct windows or doors. Please select with this in mind.

  Steel Shelf

  Suits storage on the walls. 300mm deep shelf made from galvanized steel.

  Shovel / Broom Racks

  Hooks over wall and holds up to three items depending shape and size. Arms are 300mm long. Sturdy construction 20x20x1.6mm RHS.

  Bike Hook Hanging Bars

  This bar spans across the gable or skillion width of your shed hooking onto the tops of the walls. It is made from 25 x 25 x 1.6mm galvanized RHS.

  Purchase bike hooks and hang your bikes from this bar. Great option to tidy up those awkward pedal machines!!!

  Touchup Pens

  Smart felt tip type pen that touchs up minor scratches in the paint.

  Please note the colour match will not be perfect. Steel manufacturers recommend leaving scratches and dents alone as there is a zinc coating underneath the paint which will ensure the sheet does not corrode.

  The touched up paint will be a different shade and weather differently. However in some cases you may wish to eliminate an unsightly blemish. Cost $14 per pen.

  Direct to Ground Attachment

  The shed may be attached to the ground in wind sheltered areas using star pickets. The minimum number of pickets is two per panel (three for 3.74m panels). Drive the pickets inside the shed beside the BaseSmart and then connect using a self drilling screw. Evenly space the pickets. Be careful of underground services ….. ring before you drive in pickets. Pickets are supplied with self drilling screws.

  Connect to Concrete

  The shed can be attached to flat and level concrete using concrete clips. Erect the shed then place the concrete clips inside the shed, two per panel. You will need a masonery bit 6.5mm diameter. The clips are attached to the basesmart with self drilling screws.

  Purchase a fully rebated wooden floor for your shed.

  You can install your shed with a fully rebated wooden floor. The floor is pre-cut in size and requires only simple assembly using a Phillips head screw driver.

  Wooden floors are more cost effective for smaller sheds than concrete. Wooden floors that are only 1.52m wide or long will need to be star picketed to the ground. Again use 2 pickets per panel length and attach to the floor around the outside of the shed.

  Rebated Concrete Slab

  SteelChief recommends a rebated concrete slab, as it ensures that water cannot be driven under the walls of the shed, in conditions of driving wind and rain. The rebated slab is poured after the shed has been erected and mounted on stirrups; it is approximately 100mm deep, and is reinforced with mesh. The concrete is finished to the top of the galvanised BaseSmart member, forming a 20mm rebate.

  Infill Concrete Slab

  TConcrete is poured into the erected shed, with a barrier in place to prevent the concrete from coming into contact with the walls. As the concrete is poured onto the existing ground level, and the walls of the shed are not raised, up to 65mm of headroom inside the shed may be lost. This type of slab is not recommended as it is more prone to cracking from natural movement in the ground. The loss of headroom is also a disadvantage..

  Flat Concrete Slab

  The shed is bolted to the flat slab. In this option it is difficult to seal the base of the shed, if this is required. We will pour the slab and return at a later date to erect the shed. If you require us to "try and seal" the base of the shed please request a quote.

  Rebated Wooden Floor

  Wooden floor installation includes connecting the shed to the floor, and if necessary the floor will be star picketed to the ground (small sheds only). They are simple and fast to install and easy to relocate. Supplied as pre cut sheets of 19mm particle board flooring and 75 x 45mm treated pine bearers cut to length. Simply lay bearers onto the prepared (flat) site and screw or nail down flooring. Erect shed onto bearers so floor is rebated inside your shed. Then attach your shed to bearers through channel.
