SUPERIOR WIND RATINGS ARE OUR STANDARD

The superior N4 wind rating depends on correct installation of the shed. The attachment of the shed to the ground, and ensuring all the fixing screws are inserted are both critical if the shed is being installed in an exposed area.

In exposed areas we recommend a concrete slab with the minimum recommended concrete anchors or more. Alternate attachment to the ground is possible provided it is equivalent or better than the concrete slab option.

In wind protected areas it may be possible to use star pickets to attach your shed to the ground. You may know this if you are replacing an old shed and can see if it has withstood the winds with this type of anchoring system.

Direct To Ground Flooring Example. (Only suitable for wind protected areas. Not N4 rated.).

In windy areas it is preferable to increase the number of fixing screws or consider upgrading to a Steel Frame Shed. See Steel Framed Sheds.

If unsure of the suitability of our sheds to your site please consult your local Civil Engineer.
